Goals for Feb 11- Feb 17

It has been 5 weeks since we started the Loser contest and I hope everyone is still committed, only 47 more weeks left. I have decided to make a few changes to the rules. Hopefully it will make everyone understand the goals better each week and also make it easier to report.. We are going to have 3 goals each week. We will not have the goals from the previous week. Each goal will be worth 2 points. I was getting confused myself as to which goals I was working on for the week. Also, it will make some of the harder goals(like sugar) not be as difficult We will probably start to see some previous goals repeated.. The 4 goals for the week of Feb 11- Feb 17 are:

1. 3 hours of exercise during the week

2. 5-7 days during the week no caffeine and no carbonation.

3. With the exception of vegetables and fruits, you can not eat any food that begins with the letter C. Examples(Cookies, Cake, Croissants, Chips, Chocolate, Candy, Carmel, Cheese, Cream, and all other C's that you can think of? Post to the blog spot examples of "C's that you think meet the "C" test and they will be added to the list.

So 2 and 3 are kind of redundant since carbonation and caffeine both start with "C". So, does that mean NO carbonation or caffeine since #3 says NO "c"s besides fruits and veggies? Also, you should probably add crackers to the list.

Also add Churros and, plus caffeine and carbonation is fluid not food.

Cobbler? Please tell me cereal is not on the list.

Please keep the carbonation and caffeine. Without those how are we supposed to function? Now that I see this I think everything that goes into my mouth starts with the letter "C". There goes Mexican-cheesy enchiladas, Italian-cheesy pizza, American-cheeseburgers. Okay so I'm a cheese lover. Looks like I better lay off the cheese if I want to get this body of mine toned up.

Catfish, clams, chicken! (That's almost counterproductive on a diet), cod, club sandwich, cocoa, crisco, coolwhip, caramel, cream cheese, corn chips, canaloni, cracker jacks, cream of anything soup, and crepes!

Also what Gracie calls "daddy's milk" Coke.

Sorry- I'm a little slow. I forgot you said that's fluid not food. But I'm with Jennie on the cereal thing. I think I may as well be anorexic if I can't have cereal! Maybe it could just be the cereal that start with C. Kookie Krisp starts with K's right?

Cereal is OK as long as you do not add sugar. Try to eat good cereal like Total or Special K. Come on Ginger, Kookie Krisp you are too old for that, how about grape nuts. Also carbonation and caffeine is not part of the "c" diet but it is part of #2. I got too much crap about giving all of you caffeine addicts a break last week, so this week it is cold turkey for your drugies. Randy and I have gone without the "necter of life"-diet coke- for 6 weeks. So you all can do it. I promise you that you will feel better, after the 2nd day of headaches. Come on Jim an Tomi, who eats clams and cat fish. OK, an exception for Chicken and catfish adn clams for Tomi & Jim

Have we lost Cory and Julia, Haven't heard from you. I know Cory is spending all of his free time doing crunches and push ups, but what about Julia. We need her humor.

At least we can have french fries again, just no catsup or is it ketchup?

Its friday afternoon and I have been working non stop since 3:30 a.m so I need a break - ok it seems like 3:30 a.m
I really enjoy all of your blogs. I feel like I know what is happening in your lifes. Keep up the good work. I told Ranae that we should do a blog spot and she looked at me like I had lost my marbles. She said be my guest. But who would want to know anything about our exciting life. So don't plan on a blog from the Shane and Ranae Peck family any time soon.
I went to lunch today at the Macaroni Grill. They have great bread. I was ticked the whole time that some stupid idiot had some bread goal this week. When I got home I was so glad that I did not eat the bread and the 500+ calories. Last night I wanted some cold ceral(Kookie Krisp)but it was past 7:30 so I did not eat any. When I was laying in bed at 11:00 I was glad that I had not eaten the 200- 300 calorie cereal. The goals are working for me, not sure about the rest of you. I know Jocelyn and Ranae have complained a little, but I know they have eaten healthier during the last 6 weeks

I'll probably be the least favorite family member after this post but I need a water goal again. I noticed the second it wasn't a goal anymore I stopped drinking as much water. That really was the ticket for me jump starting my weight loss. I have been doing horrible ever since I was so sick. I am glad you are changing the rules because I don't even know what I am supposed to be doing anymore. I went to a ward party tonight and four different ladies told me I looked like I had lost weight. Wow, that makes all of this worth it. I don't recognize it because I see myself daily but to hear that made my night, even my week!

I have to agree with Natalie on the water goal. Next week Shane has put me in charge of the goals and I've been seriously thinking water...I just didn't want to be the one to do it! We'll see how brave I am???
Oh and by the way Natalie, I've never had so many people ask me at church when I'm due. (Real good day at church for me!) LOL!!

I've decided that I don't like restrictions. If I'm told I can't eat something, that food is the only thing that sounds good. I think that doing the water goal again is a fantastic idea.

I've spent a lot of time trying to think of good things that don't start with C. Here's what I've come up with- pudding(not chocolate), donuts (thank goodness the people at Krispy Kreme can't spell), and pie (just not chocolate, custard or any kind of cream, and I'm not sure if you can eat the crust). Okay, so maybe I'm missing the point of this goal, but I've got a powerful sweet tooth and I'm surounded by valentine goodies.

Oh, I forgot sherbet, sorbet, and frozen yogurt.

I am so glad that I wasn't the only one who ate the Krispy Kreme donuts. They were at the checkout stand at the grocery store and I couldn't resist...not that I was successful with this goal by any means, but at least I ate the donuts without feeling guilty.
