Matt-come visit us. We live in fried food nation. Didn't you know TN. is the second fattest state after Mississippi - and Mississippi is pretty much within walking distance from where I live. The competition where this Snickers bar was fried and won was held here in TN. Yep something to be proud of. Come down south, we'll feed you good!

Shane--I need a clarification. Your very favorite HEALTHY meal is stir fry, so is that considered fried food? Do you mean any type of frying or just deep frying? Also, bread and fried foods are obviously 2 totally separate things, so you are cheating by having 3 separate goals next week. Couldn't one of those wait until the following week? I mean we have an entire year here and you are bound to run out of ideas if you triple up! I just don't think that is necessary.

Okay, so we are pretty much down to eating veggies, fruits and drinking water.( and we're only 4 weeks into this) Sounds pretty boring -- know wonder I'm fat. And, I have totally lost track as to whether I'm doing push-ups, crunches, stretching, aerobics etc., I guess it really doesn't matter because all my body will do is stretch and that's on a good day. But, I enjoy seeing what you come up with for me to try and tackle. By the way, I still drink all of my water and take in the fruit and vegetables. I blew the sugar -- to many church functions the past little bit. I think I could lose weight easier if I was inactive.

ps. the deep fried Snickers bar made me ill just thinking about it.

What a bunch of winers. I guess I need to clarify the fried food goal. Fried food means deep frying with fat(french fries etc) Also, remember that you have to do all 4 goals the two for this week and the two for last week. I am running out of ideas. I think next week will be to fast everyone other day. What do you think. And if you continue to wine, I might increase the water intake to 100 % of body weight.
I actually have not had any soda for a month and I have been drinking atleast 100 ounces of water a day, and I do feel better.

Shane--you can't call us names that you don't even know how to spell! We are not WHINERS, we are simply trying to succeed at a game where you are holding (and stacking) all the cards. So, brag on, big boy. You're going to be doing this all alone soon if you don't start playing nice.

No bread? What's left to eat? I'll have to conceed some points if I want to be able to keep exercising. Why the 24oz/day exception for soft drinks? Shane's doing a great job so I'll do whatever he decides, but here's my suggestion: 1) No deep fried foods 2) No soft drinks. (I'm not a nutritionist, but niether was Dr. Atkins)

I agree with Jim about no soft drinks, but I caved to pressure. Also, remember that after Sunday you can go back to sugar, so replace your lack of bread with your sugar cravings. Also a reminder for those of you who are trying to lose weight, to send me an e-mail or post your weight loss on the blog. This weeks goals are easy. No deep fried foods is a piece of cake, get a frosty with your hamburger. I know that bread is a hard one, but 5 out of 7 days is not too bad. I know the eating pat 7:30 is hard for a few people, but it is only for one more week. The soda pop goal could be hard on those of you that are addicted. Those of you that are addicted, I encourage you to take Dr. Tidwell's advice and do not drink it at all for a week. Where is spell check when you need it. After, I read my response to the whiners, I realized I spelled whine incorrect, but I knew that Ranae would be the one that would correct me. No sugar has made her a little crancky and has turned her into a WHINER.

Shane and Ranae~you two are funny. You've kept me entertained by reading your responses to each other. Keep it up, it gives me a good laugh and Shane I agree, where is the spell check for comments???

Nicole,

I think you should have the YMCA playing in the back ground for those of us who are falling apart and can't do much - we could at least do the the arm motions while sitting in our chair looking over the blog of all the things we can't accomplish :) Just a little thought for the day.

Hey, I just found our new exercise goal for next week!!!!!

Ranae said...

Oh, and make sure you get no BUN with your hamburger!

Hey, welcome Cedar Peck Family!!!!!! Glad you could join us!
Shane, this weeks goals are getting everyone wild and crazy! I guess you've found a way to get to the Pecks- Take away their bread and soda and they fall apart! We better make sure we have both at family parties or it could get ugly!
Ranae, you and I must be thinking on the same level because I too noticed the whine and the hamburger without the bun..LOL!!!
Shane, you're doing great! Maybe all of us should offer more suggestions to help him out? Anyone with a perfect score so far?

What are you thinking Shane? 24oz. of poison sugar water after 2 weeks of no sugar. I'd like to know who has such influence over you. It certainly isn't your wife. Maybe it is "Cruise Boy" or one of the Miami Vice addicts. Other than that you are doing a great job!

I was thinking of the coffee drinkers, hopefully, everyone will take the high road and give up the sugar water or the diet poison watet for at least a week. I have had a great first 31 days of the big fat loser goals. However, today watching the superbowl, I went over the edge, with a cookie, popcorn, some candy and a pumpkin square. I should have never caved with the 5 out of 7 sugar days, because I blew it today. Thank goodness for fast sunday, so I only ate from 4-10. PS the hardest part of posting on the blog is trying to read the funky letters.

I'm impressed you people are continueing (<-spelling renae?) with the goals that don't count! Man once they don't count I'm outa there! I swear fruits and veggies are not filling! I eat a banana and I'm hungrier than I was before. Normally that snicker would look nasty to me, but after going sugarless for so long it was looking mighty fine! I ended the last round (on my off day) with nothing but sugar. I then discovered why sugar is unhealthy. My brains were shakin' and my tummy achin'! (that should be a country song) I think the rest of this year will be a piece of cake after that last one. (As long as we don't upset Shane and be forced to fast every other day.)
