I never realized how long an hour really is. This exercise thing is killing me. Nicole, I'm with you on the pooch. Thanks for the info, Renae. I don't know how y'all have your blogs updated with Mexico already. They are so fun to see! Honestly, we have gotten lazy with our camera since we moved back to Utah--we just let my dad take all of the pictures. Nicole, he is the one to contact if you want more slides! I love hearing how everyone is doing. Keep trudging!

Hats off to any of you who are managing to drink all of that water. I gave up after day two, and I pretty much drink nothing but water. I have been trying to do the exercise in small increments when the kids are playing. It was nice outside the other day and the kids were playing in the yard, so I thought I would just jump rope on the patio while the kids played. I could pretty much jump rope indefinately when I was a kid, so I figured it wouldn't be too hard. Wow! Not only was I winded after about 10 jumps, but I found that I was freakishly uncoordinated with the rope. So even though I spent half the time disentangling myself and the other half looking at the clock- I've only been doing this for 2 minutes!-I counted it. I am sooo over 30! Jennie

That's so funny Jennie. I was at the gym today trying to do the same thing and gave up after 20 jumps. At least you didn't have a gym full of young teenagers staring at you as you were making a fool of yourself. I guess my own personal goal now will be to jump 5o times without stopping. As far as the drinking thing, I can say it's getting a little easier. I've definitely had to add flavor though. Thanks goodness for Propels!!!!

Just so you know, I BEGGED Shane to start out gently and gradually increase, but NO, he would have none of it. My best exercise advise is to buy a cheap little pedometer to wear around the house because all you homemakers out there are doing way more walking than you probably realize (10,000 steps a day is ideal), and as Shane said, walking totally counts! By the way, Emily, your blogspot is not working for me. Could the address/link be wrong? Ranae

By the way, our blogspot is really robertandemilymortensen.blogspot.com.
Nicole or Kelsey, would you mind fixing that for me? I have no idea how to do any of this stuff. Sorry for the confusion.

So I have a new challenge for everyone. I have been at work all night and with me I brought my 32 ounce mug. I have filled it five times and have now drank 160 ounces of water in 12 hours. If you think drinking half your body weight is bad, try your whole body weight and then some. Needless to say the bathroom has been my constant companion tonight. I also don't feel sorry for you dad!

Ranae, it tripped me out to see your name as Grandma. I thought it was Grandma Mare...
Anyway, I am so glad we are doing this. It's easy to make excuses when you're pregnant as to why you don't really need to exercise. But this is forcing me to do it! Jennie and Nicole, can I just say that I can't jump rope to save my life even when I'm in good shape and working out every day. It's sooo good for the spare tire!! My 2 post-pregnancy goals are to work on my jump-roping skills and my nunchuck skills...LOL!!

I didn't mean to confuse anybody with the "grandma" thing. It's just that when I signed up for this whole blogger thing, Kelsey was my only contact, so it made sense that I would comment as "grandma." I mean to change that name as soon as I can figure out how because NO ONE is allowed to call "grandma" except Brayden and hopefully I'll be adjusted to the title by the time he can talk.

Wow! I don't know how I missed this whole section of comments. They are pretty funny. Jennie, you are brave to jump rope after 3 pregnancies. The last 3 years I've had to teach the 3rd grade how to jump rope. You think it's bad at 30, just wait!. Since my feet don't work so well anymore I now ask for volunteers instead of demonstrating. What a loser! I'm pretty good at Chinese jump rope though. Have fun girls
