This week everyone should be walking/running/jogging 6 miles. I have talked to a few people who weren't able to walk the 5 miles last week. That is okay! This new thing we have going here is easy to start whenever you want. If you can't do all the miles one week that's okay. Just try to walk/run/jog as much as you can. Once we hit a certain number of miles each week we will get into some sort of competition that involves a prize. I was just trying to make it easier for everyone by slowly getting into the routine. If anyone is confused or has any questions please let me know. Good job to everyone who did the 5 miles last week. Cassie walked 13 miles and I know she doesn't need to loose any weight, so good work Cassie!

Well, I missed last week and will probably miss this week too. Since I'll be in the car or unpacking boxes all next week I'll probably miss it then too. So can I start at eight miles and still be included? I'm hoping to have some kind of vague routine going soon (let's hope, poor Jack doesn't know what's going on or when he's supposed to sleep. he's starting to mix up his days and nights again--aahhh!)
Yes, join whenever! It will just be harder to start out doing 8 miles instead of 5. That doesn't mean you shouldn't do it though. Like I said once we get into the higher amount of miles we will start some competition with a prize. To answer your question Jim. You can count walking at work. Working with doctors I know you do a LOT of walking from place to place.
So, I bought a pedometer today just to see how much I really do walk. I was actually dissapointed. I thought I walked more being a busy Mom and all. Maybe tomorrow will prove different. It might be worth it though, because maybe I'll try and walk mor enow. The one I got also shows how many calories I am burning too.

Is there an echo on this page? Natalie.
I can't really walk. I walked home from church today a big half mile and now I can't sleep cause my knees hurt---but can I ride the recumbant bike and have it count. I doesn't seem as hard, so I could ride more miles. What do you think?? Tracy
