This week everyone needs to walk/run/jog at least 5 miles. I know that 5 miles isn't a lot but keep on reading. Every week we are going to add on a mile until we are all walking/running/jogging around 15 miles a week. I figure if we just add it slowly it won't be as hard. If anyone has a better idea let me know. Once we get into the higher amount of miles you can count walking around the store or your house, as long as you have a pedometer to keep track of how far you have actually walked.
Good luck to everyone who is going to participate. We will come up with some sort of competition with a reward soon.

This is Cassie. I was wondering if I could do it!
Of coarse Cassie. Everyone is invited!
Oh boy, I'm in Memphis and walking down the street is enough to make you faint! I can't believe how hot it is here. But I'm in!

Will someone please figure out how many steps (pedometer wise) equals a mile? I have such a hard time knowing how far anything is as it feels much farther than it actually is! One thing I do know, I walk in a 5K most every labor day and we walk as fast as I can possibly walk. The 5K takes just about 45 minutes. That means that 5 miles should definitely take at least an hour, probably more.
Natalie here-I am ready to go again. I like this idea. I have been in Memphis and haven't taken any time to do my walking so I am doing it all today. I am having Matt take me five miles away from our house and drop me off. Silly-I know, but I can't loose the first week. Plus, I have to get home somehow. So, I will let you know how that goes! Best of Luck everyone!!!
Does walking at work count? I don't have a pedometer, but I've been forcing myself to use the stairs and I do at least a cumulative hour of walking each day.

Are we supposed to report by Monday how we did? If so I did my walking. Thanks Kels!
